For over two decades, Michael has poured his passion into shaping meaningful worship experiences through technology, music, and production. With 23 years of hands-on experience and hundreds of innovative designs and systems brought to life, he founded Somerset Media Group—a company dedicated to equipping churches with the tools they need to engage, inspire, and communicate the Gospel effectively.

Michael’s journey has taken him across the NYC/NJ metro area, where he has worn many hats—musician, producer, audio engineer, church leader, speaker, instructor, and consultant. He has served on staff at six churches, from a humble church plant that started in his living room to a historic 200-year-old denominational church. Whether leading liturgical worship, cutting-edge contemporary services, or developing church plants, he has remained committed to one thing: helping churches thrive in their unique mission.

Beyond the local church, Michael has also invested in the next generation of ministry and media leaders, serving on the faculty of two colleges where he has taught church ministry, music technology, and audio production. His expertise lies in helping churches clarify vision, develop leadership, optimize teams, and leverage technology—not as a distraction, but as a seamless tool for deeper engagement in worship and ministry.

At Somerset Media Group, Michael leads as Principal, Client Relations Lead, and Chief Designer, ensuring that every project is rooted in excellence, purpose, and a heart for the local church. His vision? To make technology an ally, not an obstacle—helping churches create powerful, distraction-free environments where people can encounter God.

Steve Dickerson’s love for sound, video, and lighting isn’t just about technology—it’s about creating moments that connect people to music, messages, and meaning. Steve has worked with national artists, local bands, and churches alike, giving him a deep understanding of how to bring what happens on stage to life for an audience or congregation.

As our Project Manager, Steve is hands-on with every system we install, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully integrated into your space. His goal? To exceed expectations in both function and quality, making sure your church or venue has a system that not only works but enhances the worship and engagement experience.

Beyond his technical expertise, Steve’s roots in church leadership—growing up as the son of a pastor—give him a unique appreciation for the values, priorities, and heart of ministry. He understands that technology in the church isn’t just about great sound and visuals—it’s about supporting the message, fostering connection, and creating an atmosphere where people can truly engage.
